A virtual Yoga Studio devoted to supporting your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing while you’re trying to conceive…

Nurture Your Body. Calm Your Mind. Empower Your Journey.

The Fertility Studio, On Demand, 3 Month Membership is a supportive online space for women navigating their fertility journey— with pre-recorded yoga classes, guided meditations, live workshops with Alex Carey our lead teacher and regular Expert Guest speakers, The Fertility Studio is designed to empower you and support you every step of the way.

On Demand Studio

Our fertility yoga classes are thoughtfully designed to support your body and mind throughout your journey. By focusing on gentle movements, breathwork, and relaxation techniques, these practices help reduce stress, balance hormones, and improve overall well-being. Each class is tailored to support which phase of your menstrual cycle you’re in, providing you with a safe practice post-ovulation if you’re actively ttc. There are many different pre-recorded classes to choose from so you can tailor your practice to your own schedule and where you are in your own cycle.

Live Monthly Workshops

Each month, we bring you a variety of live offerings to support and inspire your fertility journey. These include live yoga classes and workshops led by me, Alex Carey, as well as sessions with expert guest speakers specializing in fertility, wellness, and reproductive health. These live experiences are an opportunity to connect in real time, ask questions, and dive deeper into topics that matter most to you. There is a dedicated page where you’ll find what’s happening during the month, details about upcoming events, and direct access to the links for joining live classes and workshops.

The Replay Library

The Replay Library is your space to revisit our lives on your own schedule. Here, you’ll find recordings of our yoga workshops and expert guest speaker sessions, giving you the flexibility to catch up on anything you missed or return to your favorite talks and practices whenever you need them. Whether it’s diving back into an inspiring session on fertility wellness or flowing through a yoga workshop at a time that suits you. Explore a growing collection of meaningful topics and practices, all designed to keep you feeling informed, empowered, and connected.

You can’t always control the journey, but you have the power to create a space for healing, nurturing and improving your own wellbeing in this moment. Let The Fertility Studio hold this space for you.

Feel Supported, Empowered, and Connected

A space created for you, by somebody who understands the journey…

I created this space because I’ve walked the path you’re on. I know how transformative it can be to feel truly seen, understood, and supported. Through my yoga practice, I found a way to process the emotions my busy life couldn’t hold space for. I built this studio with the belief that every woman navigating the challenges of fertility deserves a space devoted entirely to her journey, her wellbeing - to give her the strength to keep pursuing her dream of becoming a mother.

The Science-Backed Benefits of Yoga for Health

While the benefits can easily start to be felt when you begin a regular yoga practice, there are a lot of research backed studies on the benefits of Yoga for overall wellbeing. Here are some of the main benefits 👇🏼

    • Activation of the Parasympathetic Nervous System:

      • Yoga emphasizes deep breathing and mindful movements, which activate the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) or the "rest and digest" system.

      • This counteracts the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) or the "fight or flight" response, reducing stress levels.

    • Vagal Tone Improvement:

      • Practices like diaphragmatic breathing stimulate the vagus nerve, promoting relaxation and reducing anxiety.

    Research Insight:
A study published in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience demonstrated that yoga enhances vagal tone and heart rate variability, both indicators of reduced stress.

    • Yoga has been shown to lower cortisol, the primary stress hormone. Elevated cortisol levels can negatively impact physical and mental health.

    • Studies reveal that consistent yoga practice reduces cortisol levels, improving overall stress management.

    Research:
A meta-analysis in Psychoneuroendocrinology found that yoga interventions lead to significant reductions in cortisol, especially in women experiencing high stress.

    • Yoga promotes the release of neurotransmitters that improve mood and reduce stress:

      • GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid): Increases with yoga practice, reducing anxiety.

      • Serotonin and Dopamine: These “feel-good” chemicals are boosted during yoga, enhancing emotional well-being.

    Research:
A study in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found that yoga practitioners had significantly higher GABA levels compared to those who walked for exercise.

    • Chronic stress is linked to increased levels of inflammation in the body, which can exacerbate health issues.

    • Yoga reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines, helping to combat stress-induced inflammation.

    Research:
A study in Psychosomatic Medicine found that yoga practitioners exhibited lower levels of inflammatory markers like IL-6 after stressful events.

    • Yoga incorporates mindfulness, encouraging individuals to focus on the present moment and detach from stress-inducing thoughts.

    • Mindfulness practices improve emotional regulation and reduce rumination.

    Research:
A review in Mindfulness reported that yoga-based mindfulness programs significantly decreased symptoms of anxiety and depression.

    • Chronic stress often disrupts sleep patterns, leading to fatigue and emotional distress.

    • Yoga, particularly restorative and nidra practices, improves sleep quality by calming the mind and body.

    Research:
A study in Sleep Science found that yoga improved sleep efficiency and reduced sleep latency in individuals with insomnia.

    • Yoga fosters self-compassion, acceptance, and emotional resilience, equipping individuals to better handle stress.

    • Group yoga sessions can also provide a sense of community and reduce feelings of isolation.
